Hope for Creation supports sustainability projects as a way to decrease our carbon footprint and become more aware of how our actions impact the earth. Examples of past efforts include:

• Initiating an EPS foam recycling effort with the City of Kalamazoo. 

• Supporting local community composting efforts.

• Installing garden beds local congregations.

• Collaborating on a project with the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council to put rain barrels on Allen Chapel AME Church to collect rainwater for their garden. 

• Sharing ideas and expertise among Green Teams, including a path to solar for congregations.
